Jordan Perry, Chef De Cuisine at Reba's Place

JORDAN PERRY

Chef Jordan Perry was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was at an early age that Jordan discovered his love for being in the kitchen. At age 12 he started doing dishes as a volunteer at Opportunity Village, where he helped teach people with intellectual disabilities how to cook, serve, and interact with customers. It was during this volunteer process a chef at Opportunity Village took an interest in Jordan and suggested he further his culinary education. Spending all his early career in Vegas gathering knowledge and experience in places on and off the strip, Jordan left Vegas at 19 for New York to expand his culinary horizons. After several years in the Big Apple, Perry eventually was back on the road to fully insert himself in one of the world’s most exciting restaurant scenes and to further challenge his learning and carve out additional opportunities for himself including stops at Flamingo Las Vegas, Bandito Latin Kitchen & Cantina, Snaps Bistro (NY), and The Pioneer Woman Mercantile. Following his time in the biggest food scenes in the world, Jordan landed in small town Atoka, Oklahoma to bring the big city experiences to the town of Atoka. As Chef de Cuisine, Jordan thrives in high stakes environments where he’s forced to continually motivate the team to push the envelope and to exceed the limits of the business and the individuals who are a part of it. At Reba’s Place, the most rewarding aspect is watching the growth of an employee. Jordan takes pride in his work and can be found working side by side his employees in one of the two kitchens, checking food quality, coming up with new recipes, or making sure every plate leaves the kitchen looking as lovely as the last. It’s this drive that fuels him day in and day out. Thinking quality forward, he finds comfort in doing the right thing as opposed to the easy thing, thus making people happy through excellent food. One of the excellent food items you may see Jordan enjoying is a simple “No Frills Burger, w/cheese” a menu favorite. When not at work, you can find Jordan renovating his home, playing sports, listening to his favorite Reba song “Pray for Peace”, and almost always… cooking.
